PARMESAN BITES APPETIZER

The appetizer recipe is not your everyday recipe. No, appetizer recipes are recipes that you look for only a few times throughout the year for special gatherings or for holidays. But even though you might not make it too often, it's a good idea to have some reliable appetizer recipes at your store that you can count on.

This recipe for Parmesan Bites belongs to the category of appetizer recipes that can be relied on for me.

These small appetizers always disappear quickly when I bring them and people almost always tell me how good they are. In addition, he uses a number of semi-homemade shortcuts that help me not be too stressed during the busy holiday season too. Win!

During the last few weeks of the year leading up to the holidays, I always try to create themes for my blog posts. This year I have decided to make a theme of all small "mini" items, and these small-sized appetizers are perfect for starting something.

Making appetizers
These appetizers begin with a shortcut using several cooled sickle roll tubes. Each crescent roll package is separated into rectangles (squeeze slightly diagonally perforated seams to form a rectangle).

Next, you mix the cream cheese block and some pre-grated parmesan. This mixture is spread into rectangles which you then add with chopped red peppers and chopped parsley. Fresh parsley is good, but I also use dried parsley if that's all I have.

You then bring each end of the rectangle toward the middle, fold it over the items inside it, and make a kind of "log".

Each log is then cut into four or five pieces, depending on how much you want your appetizers.

To bake an appetizer, you place each section (the side of the seam down) on a baking sheet, give them one more sprinkling of parmesan, and put it in the oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

All of this can be done before too! I often collect my parmesan bites and put them on a baking sheet, and then I place the baking sheet in the refrigerator until later. Then when the time comes for the company to arrive, I can put it in the oven. Another great way to have a little shortcut!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Cooling Sickle Tubes
  • 1 Pkg (8 ounces) Cream Cheese - soft
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese 3/4 Cup (plus a little for sprinkling)
  • 1 cup of chopped red chili
  • 1/3 Cup of Fresh Chopped Parsley (or about 1 Tbl of dried parsley)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Separate the two crescent tube rolls into 8 rectangles. Press the diagonal perforation to close.
  2. Mix cream cheese and parmesan together using an electric mixer until evenly mixed.
  3. Spread some cream cheese mixture on each rectangle, dividing the mixture evenly between 8 rectangles. Then add the red chili and parsley.
  4. Then fold each end of the rectangle towards the middle, close the fill and make a "log". Cut each log into four or five smaller sections.
  5. Place each section, seams the bottom side, on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with a little grated parmesan.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 13 to 15 minutes.
